Choose from the classic "MU" format or the compact "Euro" size. MU (Moog unit) panels are measured in multiples of 2.125" (1 MU) and are 8.75" (222.25mm) which is 5U high. Re:Synthesis MU panels are produced from 1.5mm thick high-grade matte black anodised aluminium, chemically etched to give "cut-in" silver aluminium graphics. You can feel the graphics on these panels unlike those produced with sub-surface or the well known "photo" material commonly used. The sides have return folds for extra rigidity, in the same way as the original Moog panels. Our standard panels can accomodate mounting rails up to 12.7mm (0.5") whilst the authentic series have slimmer returns and are limmited to 9.5mm (0.375") The slightly increased depth ot the return folds on our standard panels means that they will not fit into the single or double unit Synthesizers.com Box series of enclosues or the larger sizes where the module will be mounted in the far left or right positions. This is due to the Box enclosures having sides that are at the same pitch as the return folds of the panel so as to be able to be ganged together. If you require a custom panel to work in one of these enclosures, please let us know as we can reduce the side returns if required prior to finalising.
Euro panels are 128.5mm high and are measured in HP width units. One HP unit is 0.2" (5.08mm) and so a 10HP panel is theoretically 2.00" (or 50.80mm) though in the real world they are slightly under this size. These panels are produced in a 2mm satin finish anodised aluminium and have ob-round mounting holes with a 0.125" (3.2mm) x 0.25" (0.25") pattern to allow for adjustment on the vector rails.
